Homemade Granola Bars? Yes, Please!

Today we’re celebrating one of the most delicious and versatile breakfast foods out there: granola. Whether you enjoy it with milk, yogurt, or just by the handful, granola is a tasty and wholesome way to start your day. But why settle for store-bought when you can make your own? Today, we're sharing a simple and tasty recipe for homemade granola bars you can enjoy on the go.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, and pecans work great)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (we love raisins, cranberries, and chopped apricots)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine all but the dried fruit. Mix well until everything is evenly coated, then fold in the dried fruit. Press the mixture into a 9”x13” baking dish lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let the granola bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

These homemade granola bars are perfect for breakfast on the go or as a healthy snack. They're also great for lunch boxes, picnics, and road trips. Plus you can customize them by adding or dipping them in any other toppings you like. Enjoy!
