Chia seeds pack a punch when it comes to their benefits, nutrients, protein, antioxidants, and so much more. So really, when we add those pros together, and create a tastebud-pleasing dessert pudding, it’s a win-win situation!
While recently on location, the Ellie team had the chance to indulge in a healthy, chia-seed treat! The night before a major photoshoot, one of our team members prepped this chia pudding recipe for the entire group. Whipped up the night before, the team woke up to a healthy - and awesomely delicious - breakfast delight! Aside from the fact that everyone loved it (it was devoured quickly!), they were also able to feel the effects of the energy-boosting properties.
We’re taking you through the preparation of one of the best chia pudding recipes around!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup milk of choice (coconut, almond, or cashew milk are great options)
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon sweetener (we suggest honey, agave, or maple syrup)
Optional toppings:
- Granola
- Fresh strawberries
- Coconut shavings
- Bananas
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine your milk of choice with the chia seeds (add more milk for a thinner pudding). Stir immediately to avoid clumping of the chia seeds. Add your sweetener of choice. Cover the bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator. If you would like a thicker consistency, let the pudding sit for at least 2 hours or overnight.
You can eat your chia pudding plain or topped with your favorite berries, nuts, and fresh fruits. Pudding keeps for 4-5 days refrigerated.
